Ever have a plan go totally wrong, but then end up with something even cooler? That’s exactly what happened to us with our latest Lego challenge!
The idea was simple: build RC cars out of Legos and have an epic demolition derby. A perfect recipe for entertainment, right? Well, not exactly. As Cliff and I brainstormed our ideas, we forgot a crucial detail – our target audience (seven-year-olds) may not enjoy watching their Lego creations get destroyed…. Unfortunately we didn’t learn this hard lesson until we were staring down a pile of Lego destruction.
That’s where we had to think fast (like ninja fast!). Luckily, I (a.k.a. the queen of improvisation) came up with a genius new plan: Lego bubble blowers!

Although our original Lego challenge wasn’t what we initially envisioned, it still turned into a valuable learning experience for us. Here are the key takeaways:
Understanding Your Audience: It’s vital to consider your audience’s interests and preferences before diving headfirst into a project. This not only ensures they’ll enjoy the final product, but also makes the creative process more meaningful.
Adaptability is Key: The best plans can change course. Being flexible and open to new ideas can lead to even more creative and satisfying results.
So next time you embark on a Lego adventure (or any creative project, for that matter), remember – embrace the unexpected! The most exciting discoveries often lie just beyond the original plan. And who knows, you might just invent the next Lego bubble blower!
